Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) protects employers against claims by current, former, or prospective employees alleging wrongful employment practices. Covered claims include discrimination (based on race, gender, age, disability, religion), sexual harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, failure to promote, breach of employment contract, and — increasingly — wage and hour violations. Third-party EPLI extends coverage to claims by non-employees (customers, vendors) who experience harassment or discrimination by company employees.
